The day I had a call with the marketing team and my editor for my upcoming book and realized for the first time that my book might be published during the 2020 election season and I kind of freaked out then I realized it will all work out because God is either in this or He isn’t in this and I have to believe He is in this.
The day I started reading a new-to-me Frederick Buechner book and remembered how much I love his writing and it made me wonder if I should read any of his fiction because I’ve never read any of his fiction.
The day I went for a walk with my husband for the first time in a while and time flew by as it always does when I go for a walk with my husband because he’s better than a podcast.
The day I spent the whole afternoon reading for my spiritual direction training and was so glad I’m a part of this program and on this journey.
The day I spoke to a lovely woman via Zoom for one of my upcoming On Writing and Faith posts and I was so glad to meet her and hear about her life and ministry and her desire to help women use their gifts.
The day (night) we went to dinner with friends and came back to our house to hang out and have dessert and the conversation was lovely and the company was lovely and it made me so thankful for all of the wonderful people I’m blessed to have in my life.
The day I wanted to get a whole lot of writing and work done and I actually got next-to-nothing done but it was no big deal in the grand scheme of things and life went on but it does make me wonder if I should use to-do lists or my planner or something to help me stay on track on the days I want to be on track.
