I'm going through my stacks of magazines and journals, reading/re-reading them, hoping to throw some of them out even though I'd rather keep my stacks. We don't have much room for stacks, though, so here we are.
One of my favorite publications is Bookforum, but one problem with reading about books is it makes me want to read more books. Here are four books I want to read after reading an old issue of Bookforum:
The Idiot by Elif Batuman
Wait Till You See Me Dance by Deb Olin Unferth
Somebody With a Little Hammer by Mary Gaitskill
South and West: From a Notebook by Joan Didion
