Last month John from The Backyard Pantry delivered our raised garden bed. Because life has been crazy and I’m still trying to figure out how to navigate the work+family+other roles and responsibilities situation (more on that soon), I have put off starting our garden.  Until today.
After school we went over to Sweet Peas in Homewood [...]

In rare moments when I am home to myself, my heart is still, my pulse a psalm I know obscurely I receive my life from a power beyond me, live by a life not my own.
This morsel [...]

because I want to know and be known. I believe all voices should be heard. I have opinions I want to express and gifts and talents that have been given to me for the benefit of others in my family, my work, and my community. When women are squelched, we all suffer.

The “Blog Posts Brewing Within” Version:
1) Blogs, Facebook, Twitter and the importance of balancing online community with real life community. For some of us it’s easy to throw our thoughts about faith, politics, and the economy out on the internets. Are we also making space in our lives to discuss these issues with others over [...]

I am passionate about the city for many reasons. I long for redemption, restoration, and revitalization, but my love for this place is not dependent on those things. Loving my neighborhood requires the ability to see beauty in the midst of brokenness.

2. Speaking of green… Check out this blogger/writer/mama.
3. I’ve had some odd cravings lately.
One is cauliflower with [...]

Alright. That’s enough about Tim and me, our marriage, etc. Let’s move on…

Brian got some good shots of our babies when he was here. As we were walking out the back door on our way to take some pictures around our neighborhood, he caught them in their nest.

Then, when we returned to our house, we [...]
